Trevor Noah has been performing for a little over 2 years but is already recognized as one of the top comedians in the country. His rise in the comedy realm has been nothing short of meteoric. His attributes as a comedian - sharp wit, intelligent commentary, unmistakable charm and clinical delivery have made Trevor Noah a very popular performer in South Africa.

Such has been his impact on the local comedy scene that Trevor went on to win the “Best Breakthrough Comedy Act of the Year” at this year’s South African Comedy Awards and was also nominated for in the “Best Comedian of the Year” category. A fitting accolade and acknowledgement for a comedian that has taken South Africa by storm.

He has performed in numerous shows all over the country, such as the Vodacom Funny Festival, Heavyweight Comedy Jam, Arts Alive, the Blacks Only Comedy Show, the Just Because Comedy Festival, the Pretoria Comedy Festival, the 94.7 Raw Rocks Comedy Festival and so on.Trevor has become accustomed to sharing the stage with South African comedy heavyweights at such an early stage in his career and it was no surprise when he chosen as the local act to represent South Africa in the Jozi Comedy Festival alongside 6 headlining acts from 6 different countries.

In doing so he got to share the stage with Latino comedy legend Paul Rodriguez, Australia’s biggest selling comedian Carl Barron and top UK ventriloquist Paul Zerdin ( who has performed for the Queen 3 times ), one of Canada’s finest comedians Sugar Sammy and managed to hold his own earning rave reviews. Due to his performances then, he has been asked to be on the bill again this year! A first for a local act.
