Mosaïek’s Inspirational Arts Team is presenting an original musical again this year, which will be on stage at the end of July.
In “Haweloos – Die Musical”, where the question is asked “What is home?” we visit St. Helena bay in the 1830’s.
Haweloos boasts with amongst others the talents of Mandi Baard, who played the role of Lara in the popular soapy, Egoli Nadia Beukes, who has presented several programmes on KykNet, and was part of the a capella group Cutt Glass for four years and Reuben Louw, better known as the singer Jodan, who already has 3 albums on the shelves.

TJ’s Acoustic Music Club is a group of amateur and professional musicians who present three shows each month at Mark’s Park, Emmarentia in Johannesburg. Two of the Thursday shows are organised, the last Thursday of the month, is an Open Mike Nite. On Thursday 6 May, a ‘50s Revival Special will feature the songs of Niel Sedaka, The Platters, Elvis Presley and more. Musicians do not get paid but we do need to pay for the venue and therefore charge a nominal entry fee of R20.00/person.
