Skylight:

It's time to fight for the things we believe in and be bold enough to actually live it out....
Despite the current state of our world, we are still crazy enough to believe that things can change for the better...
And we believe that you have a part to play in telling (living out) the story...

Easy Tiger:

This is feel good music, often with a reminiscent twist, a tickle of the past, a hint to the future. Strands of crafty lyrics wrap you around their finger with a confident intensity that is often serious, sometimes satirical, always layered. But there is no laddish, pat-on-the-back bravado here. The lyrics are real, gritty, honest - a window left open for the voyeur.

Easy Tiger is a contrast of colour. Their live set will show off a friendly atmosphere where African beats - hands on hip - lean casually against pillars of Jazz, and where pop - with a glimmer in her eye - bats a glittered eyelid and mingles freely with the dirty pretty things of rock.

Locnville:

For twin brothers Andrew and Brian Chaplin, Locnville is a place where their multiple musical influences and mixed backgrounds come together. Born in New York and raised in South Africa, they were exposed to a wide diversity of cultures and people from a very early age.
Having spent the better part of their lives immersed in the music creation, the recorded their first song ‘Amnesia’ at the age of 7; By the age of 11 they recorded their first full set of rock songs written by themselves and inspired by rock acts such as AC/DC, Kiss, Stained, Nirvana and Limp Bizkit.

The Parlotones:

Kahn Morbee (Vocals, Guitar), Glenn Hodgson (Bass, Piano, Backing Vocals), Paul Hodgson (Guitar), Neil Pauw (Drums) A sold-out 300-date world tour over the last 18 months has brought The Parlotones to the attention of music fans in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Benelux, Russia, the US and the UK – where they packed out 1000+ capacity venues by word of mouth alone.
Primecircle:

In June 2008 Prime Circle released their third and EMI debut album titled All or Nothing. 15 months later the band is celebrating platinum sales and an international tour roster filled with sell-out shows. This remarkable feat for a band plowing through a global recession is testament to great musicianship that’s afforded them the opportunity to rewrite the rule book on turning everything they touch into inevitable success.

The fact that Ross Learmonth, Dale Schnettler, Dirk Bisschoff, Neil Breytenbach and Marco Gomes have dominated the rock scene in South Africa for close on a decade is hardly surprising. After all, prior to 2008, the five-piece had supported the release of their first two albums with a commitment to hard work and through a workmanlike approach to gigging and a barrage of radio hits, all which rapidly built up a loyal fan base.
Freshly Ground:

Freshlyground formed in early 2002, and is made up of seven talented and diverse musicians from South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Fronted by the diminutive but dynamic Zolani Mahola, the band exudes a live performance energy that has been the bedrock of their success. The experienced rhythm section of Peter Cohen (drums) & Josh Hawks (bass) is complimented by guitarist Julio Sigauque, keyboardist Seredeal Scheepers, Simon Attwell (flute, mbira, sax and harmonica) and violinist Kyla Rose Smith. Although hailing from diverse backgrounds, between them the band’s members weave a musical magic that is highly infectious and undeniably groovy.
Danny K:

Forget every preconceived idea you might have about Danny K. The tabloid favourite. The ladies man. Even the award-winning R&B star. After a decade of music making, Danny’s finally found his sound – and it’s on jaw-droppingly great display on his brand new album. Aptly titled ‘Across The Line’, the set of songs on Danny’s fifth studio album deliver just what the singer and songwriter had in mind when he returned to the studio – and that is to swing the spotlight firmly, and convincingly, back on the music. “One of the disadvantages of not having a new album out for three years means that people began to see me as just this guy in the magazine dating models,” Danny says with real candour.

Denim:

Widely regarded as one of SA’s Top Live Acts, DENIM have a string of hits to their name, and performances at some of the most prestigious events in South Africa. The group has received numerous accolades for both their music and their performance and passion. The list of blue chip clients that have booked them for their corporate events includes Microsoft, ABI, SAB, Edcon, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Boxing SA, Sun International, Unilevers, De Beers, Colgate etc.

Thembi Seete:

Described as “fearless, talented, passionate and inspired” Thembi Seete is one of SA’s hardest working
and dedicated entertainers. This multi-talented singer, actor and dancer first rose to fame more than ten
years ago, making history as one of the first female kwaito artists when she joined the band Boom Shaka.
Their dedication to the craft became the stuff of legends, as they influenced the youth of South Africa with
their look, dance and music.
Liquideep:

The Liquideep duo is made up of a singer/songwriter/producer Ziyon and DJ/producer Ryzor, and they hooked up in 2007 over a mutual love of hook-laden, melodically rich, deep house music. Just two years after their formation they caught the attention of the entire nation with the track ‘Fairytale’, which got play-listed on every major station in SA and received a SAMA nomination for Song Of The Year.

Liquideep’s originality and appeal could be put down to the culture clash between the African beat and their awareness of what works on the globe’s dancefloors, but it’s also down to their ability to craft sweet and memorable songs: the result of their combined 20 year’s worth of creative activity in clubland.

Lavuvuzela:

Newly formed song-and-dance trio La VuVuZeLa are following the release of their first of two No: 1 chart-topping singles, ‘Be Mine Tonight’ and”5 More Minutes”. Their debut album “IN STEREO”, contains a new World Cup inspired track. Titled ‘Play To Win’, the track was released in April to radio and is hopefully set to follow in the footsteps of their previous tunes.

HHP:

When HHP walked away with two key awards at the 14th Annual South African Music Awards in May 2008 , the noise in the Sun City Superbowl was nothing short of thunderous. Music industry pundits, his peers in the hip hop community and, most importantly, the fans in the gallery were united in their approval of his SAMA double (and a storming live appearance) – and all made it plain to hear, that Hip Hop Pantsula’s Best Male Solo Artist and Best Rap Album wins earned both critical (from the judges) and public approval is a mark of how far this gifted individual has come in his many years of carving out what is now an enviable solo career in the South African music career.
Arno Carstens:

Arno Carstens is an award-winning South African singer-songwriter and guitarist currently based between Cape Town and London. During his career as the lead singer of South Africa’s favourite rock band The Springbok Nude Girls, and subsequently as a solo artist, Arno has released 7 studio albums and had 18 top ten singles. He has won 5 South African Music Awards and shared the stage with legends of the music world.
Loyiso:

As a teenager Loyiso Bala was trained at the prestigious Drakensburg Boys Choir in South Africa. He finished top of his class and nurtured his classical voice. After overwhelming success with legendary Kwaito act TKZee in 2000,
Loyiso decided to release his own singles ‘Musukukhala’ and ‘Silky Soft Skin’ in 2001. The singles laid the foundation for Loyiso’s solo career and he went on to released his first album “Wine Woman and Song” in 2003, and his second album ‘Amplified’ in 2005.
Jack Parow:

Hallo, my name is Jack Parow. I like Afrikaans. I like rap. But rap is boring and swamped with people who don’t know what they are doing.  I am here to show everyone how to do it right. I make music with my friends. I like drinking, dangerous cars, dangerous parties, dangerous cherries, braai and rugby. My music makes you smile. My music makes you cry. My music makes you dance and my music makes you think. I grew up in the streets of Bellville and Parow and in the Wonderland games arcade in Tyger Valley. I smoke Dunhill cigarettes and drink Wellington brandy.
