Christmas Wish - Beds for the Nel's

The wish is from Louise Kinnear, for her friends, Susan and Jason Nel. Susan and Jason lost their jobs two years ago, as they were both retrenched from the same company. They were living in a garage for two years, and had very little money. Louise managed to get Jason a job, but the flat they are living in now takes up most of the money he earns, and Susan only earns R700 a month. Their two little boys have not had a proper bed to sleep in for a long time, and they have not had any presents for many years. Christmas Wish - A leg for Mohamed

Mohamed sells the Homeless Talk every day at the traffic lights on the corner of Cedar Road and Witkoppen Road. Tracy says he is the most pleasant person and she always pays extra for his newspaper. Sadly, Mohamed is not only homeless; he is also disabled as a result of a car accident a few years ago. His fingers are disfigured, his right foot has been amputated, and his eye-sight is poor. Mohamed is looking for assistance to start his own mobile fast food business, and for assistance with his medical condition. Tracy says she admires his spirit in the face of all his physical adversity and poverty. Dr McCready, an orthopaedic surgeon at Netcare Linksfield Hospital, is sponsoring a prosthetic leg for Mohamed, to the value of over R40 000.
