Today Jägermeister’s recipe of 56 precious herbs, woods, spices, fruits, blossoms, seeds and roots is brought to life by the skills and craftsmanship of our own production ‘Meister’. Throughout the whole manufacturing process they conduct more than 400 quality checks to ensure the high quality standards of Jägermeister.
The result is a strong and complex liqueur, with hints of citrus star anise, ginger & many different herbs.
Unmistakably Jägermeister.

The Black Tie Ensemble (BTE) based in South African State Theatre have announced that BTE is facing severe financial challenges and if substantial and immediate funding is not obtained will be forced to cease all running operations.
BTE was founded in March 1999 by legendary Opera Diva, Mimi Coertse and renowned Director Neels Hansen in order to preserve the rich tradition of Opera whilst creating employment opportunities for talented artists.
In the past 11 years of existence, The BTE has reached a position where it is respected as a professional Performance Company as well as a vital key player in the development of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Black Tie Ensemble has been successful in its efforts to empower local singers and has made a great contribution to further develop the rich tradition of live theatre performance in South Africa. BTE remains the only Opera Company in South Africa that offers Youth Development Initiatives such as The Incubator Scheme, as we believe the Incubator Scheme to be a “Prevention Programme” as studies world wide show how active participation in music and the arts activities improves the quality of social and academic performance among children and youth and has rendered many success stories such as Vuyani Mlinde, who started as the “first” Incubator Student in 2001 making his debut in the first BTE production of Verdi’s Rigoletto. Other roles followed and he got the opportunity to study overseas and today performs internationally.
BTE requires immediate and substantial funds in order to continue with the running of the administrative operations as well as our unique development initiatives that invests in the future of our artistic youth. Any interested parties whom wish to ensure the future of BTE are kindly requested to contact the following who will be able to provide options for individual, private and corporate donors whom wish to assist.
